Spring 2025 Food and drink launches

Spring 2025 is going to be pretty iconic in terms of new food and drink options. The biggest names in fast food and cafes are introducing a ton of delicious fare, from sandwiches and sides to desserts and drinks, both hot and cold. Here are 10 eateries with new food and drink launches. —Jennifer Cox

Starbucks Canada

Starbucks is saying goodbye to the chill of winter and ringing in the long-awaited spring. This year’s Starbucks Spring Menu welcomes the new Iced Cherry Chai, the first springtime Chai to join the menu, adding a whimsical element to the popular tea beverage. Also joining the menu is the new Jalapeño Chicken Pocket and the Spicy Falafel Pocket, alongside returning lavender beverages, available for a limited time.

Tim Horton’s

Tims launches their new Chocolate Chunk Cookie that’s even more delicious and ooey-gooey than ever before. It’s new and improved version is bigger and has even more chocolate chunks. There’s also a new cookie in town: the Chocolate Caramel Cookie. Also new is Tims is now serving scrambled eggs, made with 100 per cent Canadian freshly cracked eggs. Customers can order a Sausage Scrambled Egg Loaded Wrap, Bacon Scrambled Egg Loaded Wrap, or Scrambled Egg & Cheese Loaded Wrap.

Second Cup

Second Cup’s lineup of refreshing smoothies aren’t only fruity and delicious, but they’re packed with healthy ingredients to give your body a boost all day long. Choose from the Strawberry Banana Glow with flax, the Chocolate Banana Power with oat beverage, or their new Green Mango Boost with protein.

Wendy’s

Wendy’s is taking their iconic Frosty to new levels this spring with plans to launch new Frosty Fusions and Frosty Swirls, giving customers the option to add toppings and mix-ins to their favourite icy drink. Whether you’re a fan of chocolate or vanilla, you can add things like fruit and other sweet treats to your Frosty order starting this month.

Copper Branch

Copper Branch eateries have nutritious and delicious new seasonal salads on their menu. From a classic Cobb Salad to a Superfood Salad that is chock-full of healthy salad offerings, all of their foods and drinks are plant-based and super yummy.

McDonald’s Canada

In an ongoing effort to keep our sweet tooths satisfied, McDonald’s has introduced a new Cinnamon Swirl dessert, a buttery brioche roll infused with cinnamon and topped with delicious cream cheese icing. It’s the perfect dessert to enjoy their Cheesy Jalapeño & Bacon Quarter Pounder, a new juicy burger made with a quarter pound of 100% Canadian beef, two slices of cheese, and topped with a unique cheesy jalapeño sauce, tangy pickled jalapeños, and hickory-smoked bacon. Both are available for a limited time only.

Harvey’s

If you liked Harvey’s Frings before, you’re going to love what they’re unveiling this spring: Frings Poutine. This mouth-watering creation combines its most popular sides (golden onion rings and crispy fries) that are then smothered in rich, savoury gravy and gooey cheese curds. But hurry: it’s available nationwide for a limited time until March 30th.

Panera Bread

Known for their delectable sandwiches, soups, and baked goods, Panera Bread is a slew of new items hitting their spring menu. As far as sandwiches go, there’s the new Bagels Stacks in different flavour combos: Chicken Roma Asiago, Spicy Steak, and a Zesty Tuscan option. They’re also offering new croissant breakfast sandwiches, two new kinds of soup, a cherry pastry, almond pastry, and a chocolate coconut macaroon.

Chick-fil-A

In spring 2025, Canadian restaurant fans can look forward to the debut of Chick-fil-A’s Mac & Cheese as a permanent menu item, starting March 17th. It’s creamy, cheesy, and super satisfying. And if you don’t have a Chick-fil-A in your area, rest assured there are new locations opening all the time, including new locales in Calgary and Edmonton.

Dunkin’ Donuts  

The donut chain has a two-part drop this year to launch its seasonal spring menu: some items are out now and several more are coming as part of their fun Easter menu on April. 2. As part of its first drop, Dunkin’ is returning two seasonal beverages that can be ordered hot or iced: the Dunkalatte and the Pistachio Latte. For its savory food items, it’s also dropping new Ham and Cheese Pretzel Sliders and bringing back the Chicken Bacon Croissant Stuffer and the Sweet Black Pepper Snackin’ Bacon.
