Every visit to New York requires some serious eating. Here are a few of
our recent favourites.

The Green
Table in Chelsea Market offers seasonal, farm-fresh fare and
delectable cocktails but my top pick was the melt-in-your-mouth rhubarb
tart served with a surprising-yet-just-right rosemary ice cream.

Walking the High
Line, we came across a stand for People’s
Pops and couldn’t resist sampling their raspberry-basil popsicle. It
was dense and fruity, and I can’t wait to make my own at home with their new
cookbook.
Specializing in "I can’t believe it’s raw food" cuisine, Pure
Food and Wine Bar offers an amazing candlelit back patio and an
incredible selection of plant-based meals. We especially adored the
Philly Roll: avocado, kimchi and cashew cheese wrapped with greens and
served with a sweet chili dipping sauce.

Be prepared to wait for a table if you want to fuel up at Clinton
Street Baking Co. for a pre-shopping day brunchbut the latkes,
blueberry pancakes and other delectable offerings are well worth your
time. If at all possible, try save some room for their eyepopping
dessert selection.
Speaking of shopping, there are enough boutiques in the area to keep you
busy all day before heading for dinner at Tacombi,
whose broad selection of meat and vegetable tacos and other Mexican
delights will have you booking your next plane farther south. Kat Tancock
