Tasty Tour

June 4, 2014

food truck tour 1Vancouver’s Food Truck scene is top notch. So, when we were invited on a two-hour World’s Best Food Truck Tour by Vancouver Foodie Tours ($49) our stomachs growled in agreement.

We started at the infamous Japadog truck, noshing on deluxe dogs before making our way over to Food Truck Central, a.k.a., Robson Square to uncover some new gems. Along the way, our knowledgable (and hungry) tour guide shared history lessons on architect Arthur Erickson’s Law Courts design (the use of glass represents the transparency of the courts) and intro’d us to artist Patrick Hughes’ magic-eye-like perspective art inside the Rosewood Hotel. After tasting a range of smaller-portioned dishes like grilled cheese, chicken wraps, pupusas and baja fish tacos, we needed a serious nap.

Rested and fed, we’re ready to try the company’s Granville Island Market Tour and Guilty Pleasure Gourmet Tour. —Kate LeGresley
