Portuguese Dining Reaches New Heights in Montreal

We feasted our eyes on savoury food and stunning views at chef Helene Loureiro’s newest locale, Portus 360, this past week.

Montreal’s beloved Portuguese chef has just moved her first gourmet establishment, Portus Calle, out of the Plateau district and onto the 30th and 31st floors of the former Tour de Ville. Reborn as Portus 360, Helena’s most recent endeavour invites restaurant-goers to sample the key elements of her homeland’s gastronomy, while providing a tour of the city like nowhere else in Greater Montreal. Set right in the heart of the bustling downtown core, the revolving restaurant has quickly become a favourite dining spot among tourists and corporate bodies alike, looking to catch a glimpse of the city from above, while indulging in Portuguese classics.

It’s hard to beat an evening sipping on rich, curated wines and enjoying a mouthwatering seafood casserole to the backdrop of twinkling lights as far as the eye can see. One thing’s for certain, Portuguese cuisine in Montreal has just reached new heights! —Samantha Mateus
