Christmas is about the kids, and we’ve got a great suggestion for Vancouverites looking to give back, and enjoy some great ale, this holiday season.
Main St. Brewing is bringing its Miracle on Main Street Toy Drive back for a third year this December, in support of the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre (DEWC). From December 1 to 12, each guest dropping off an unwrapped toy, game, piece of sports equipment or gift card with a minimum value of $10 at the Mount Pleasant brewery (261 East 7th Avenue) will receive a complimentary flight of flagship beers—Naked Fox IPA, Main St. Pilsner, Hula Hula Tropical Milkshake Sour and Kingpin Pale Ale—as well as entry into a dozen odd-day draws taking place through December 23. Each winner will receive a six-pack of Main St. beer and a $50 gift card to local merchants in the Mount Pleasant area, with every entrant over the age of 19 also receiving entry into the grand prize of one flat of Main St. beer for a month for a year to be drawn on Friday, December 23.
All donations will go to benefit kids and families who rely on the DEWC for support prior to its annual Children’s Christmas Party in December. Cheers! —Vita Daily
