Vancouver Is Becoming Extra “Chill”

January 31, 2024

Set the alarm clocks for 8 a.m. tomorrow morning: Vancouverites will wake up to find a “subzero spectacle” as the Coors Light Chill Train unites Canada and magically passes through our city overnight!

That’s right: after a 12-year hiatus, Coors Light’s iconic Chill Train is officially back to bring chill across North America! Notably passing through Toronto’s Yonge and Dundas Square (February 8 to 9), Stephen Avenue Walk, Calgary (February 6 to 7) and Robson Square in Vancouver (February 1 to 2), the Chill Train toots along to fabulous Las Vegas as the star of Coors Light’s first-ever bespoke Big Game ad in Canada. In its wake, the event locations will become amazingly frozen overnight, from icy lampposts to glacier-like benches.

The centrepiece of the activation will be a massive cargo crate, which tumbled off The Chill Train en route to the Big Game on a tight arrival schedule of February 11, filled with high-value giveaway prizes. For eligible locals of legal drinking age, notable giveaways which are flying off the Chill Train include a 65-inch TV and $580 gift, a Coors Light Mini Fridge, and limited edition Chill Train merch.

Take part in the giveaway tomorrow and Friday, as Vancouver locals can discover the frosty “chill tracks” in Robson Square from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. As they melt away by the weekend, fans aged 21-plus across Canada can also enter to win the ultimate grand prize: a trip to the 2025 Big Game event, by visiting the official website. —Vita Daily
