Vancouver’s biggest free street festival is back—and this year, it’s going full summer camp. On Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., the Khatsahlano Street Party returns to transform 10 blocks of West 4th Avenue into an all-ages playground of music, food, activities, and pure good vibes.
With a nostalgic Camp Khats theme leading the way, festivalgoers are invited to explore, engage, and earn their metaphorical (and literal) badges while soaking up everything from indie rock and hip hop to hands-on crafts and curated photo ops.
A Star-Studded, Street-Level Soundtrack
Music remains at the heart of Khatsahlano, with a 60+ artist lineup curated by Vancouver’s legendary Zulu Records. Multiple stages will host standout sets from Meltt, Missy D, Joe Keithley (of D.O.A.), and Shred Kelly, along with rising stars like Cherry Pick, Francis Baptiste, The Matinee, and more. Plan your listening route at khatsahlano.ca/schedule or stream the festival’s custom playlist on Spotify (@khatsahlano).
Make, Play, and Win: Camp-Style Activities
Get crafty at the Camp Khats Crafts tents at Vine and Maple, where you can personalize a clothespin with decorations and kind words, then “Pin It Forward” by sneakily clipping it onto another guest. Meanwhile, scavenger hunters can chase down Camp Khats Badges—earned by snapping selfies, showing off their dance moves, or visiting Low Tide Collective booths—and post their progress to Instagram with #CampKhats for a chance to win big.
Kids can let loose at Khats Kids on Trafalgar Street, with performances from the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, a high-energy Rock ‘n’ Beau dance party, and a brand-new Donut Chomp Challenge. Expect balloon art, face painting, and hands-on fun, all presented by Native Shoes.
Active Zone Adventures & Instagram-Worthy Moments
Thrill-seekers can tackle the Climbing Wall in the Safeway lot, courtesy of Arc’teryx, or dive into the Third Space Adult Ball Pit to win prizes. Want to level up your ‘gram game? Snap your best shots at interactive photo walls from Native Shoes, Carter Honda, TD, and more—including a giant Jefferson shoe just waiting to be completed with your sticker.
Food, Drink, and Festival Feasting
With four beer gardens, a family-friendly Kim Crawford Wine Garden, and over 50 local food trucks, Camp Khats is also a food lover’s paradise. Grab tacos and margaritas at the Tacofino Garden, or sip craft cocktails and brews from Stanley Park Brewing and Vancouver Island Brewing. Prefer a sit-down moment? West 4th’s patios are ready with ribs, burgers, and all the seasonal eats.
Don’t Miss Out
Whether you’re there to dance, dine, craft, or climb, Khatsahlano 2025 is your invitation to the ultimate city campout—badges, beer, and all. —Vita Daily
