In coffee, pumpkin spice has become slightly overdone. We’ll always opt to go more rich, complex and buttery, deciding with De’Longhi that salted caramel is the flavour of the fall 2025 season. Beyond countertop statements, the brand’s range of coffee makers inspire creative and flavourful fall coffees, offering a full café experience at the touch of a button. We used the Dedica Duo Espresso Machine to master our favourite salted caramel coffee, following the four simple steps below ($350). —Julia Dumbrell

Step One | A Shot of Espresso
Start by brewing a shot of espresso with preferred beans, then pour the shot into a coffee mug. De’Longhi makes it easy to customize coffee from the first step, as machines like the Dedica Duo come with preset recipes to meet the preferences of the season. The professional pump supports consistent café-quality coffees, delivering expertly-extracted and rich espresso.
Step Two | Stir in the Salted Caramel
From the store or from scratch (caramelising sugar with salt, heavy cream, water and vanilla extract) stir caramel into the shot of espresso, to taste. For all mixing needs, De’Longhi’s Dedica Duo Espresso Machine includes a full professional barista kit, equipping at-home brewers with a portafilter, professional tamper, measuring scoop and single and double filter baskets.
Step Three | Steam the Milk
Spend a little under a minute steaming milk for a satisfyingly hot and frothy fall coffee. The commercial-style Steam Wand on De’Longhi’s tiny kitchen-sized-machines are cool-touch, to create velvety lattes and foamy cappuccinos with minimal effort.
Step Four | Salted Caramel Season
Stir in the warm steamed milk, then top with whipped cream and a drizzle of salted caramel. The final mug of Salted Caramel Coffee brings sleek and cozy Italian style into any kitchen, as the fall flavour and masterful brewing potential from De’Longhi are always trending and ready to enjoy.
