Max Mara Returns To Oakridge Park With A Boutique That Feels Like Italian Luxury Incarnate

After decades at the original Oakridge Centre, Max Mara has officially returned—this time inside the breathtaking new Oakridge Park development, and the result is nothing short of spectacular.

Spanning 3,160 square feet, the new boutique marks a major new chapter for the iconic Italian house in Vancouver, bringing its signature understated elegance into one of Canada’s most ambitious luxury retail destinations.

And true to Max Mara form, the space itself feels impeccably tailored.

Designed as an immersive expression of the brand’s refined aesthetic, the boutique layers rich Italian materials with sculptural restraint: Ceppo di Grè stone, Calacatta marble, brushed brass accents, ribbed glass partitions, and hand-finished lime plaster walls create an atmosphere that feels simultaneously warm, architectural, and impossibly chic. Softly diffused lighting and thoughtful proportions transform the boutique into something closer to a private Milanese residence than a traditional retail store.

The opening also debuts Max Mara’s stunning Pre-Fall 2026 collection—a study in softened structure and quiet power. Inspired by medieval Italian architecture, the collection explores elongated silhouettes, sculptural coats, fluid tunics, hip-skimming skirts, and sharply tailored separates rendered in sumptuous camel hair, cashmere, alpaca, mohair, and signature double-face wool constructions.

The overall mood is confident yet restrained: luxury without excess, sophistication without effort.

Founded in 1951 by Achille Maramotti in Reggio Emilia, Max Mara has long been synonymous with timeless outerwear and modern femininity, redefining the classic coat into one of fashion’s most enduring status symbols. And now, with its return to Oakridge Park, the house feels perfectly positioned for Vancouver’s increasingly elevated luxury landscape.

In a city often defined by casual dressing, Max Mara continues to offer something deeply alluring: clothing—and spaces—that whisper instead of shout. —Noa Nichol
