There’s no doubt that blush has been trending, not only in conversations across social media but also in the beauty industry, with seemingly every brand launching a new blush, whether it’s liquid, cream, or powder. One person responsible for some of this discourse is makeup artist Ngozi Esther Edeme, otherwise known as Painted by Esther on social media. She’s known for creating beautiful makeup looks on celebrities like Tyla, Kelly Rowland, Nara Smith, Olandria, and more.

One thing Esther has quickly become known for is her signature blush application. While her clients always look like glamorous dolls when she’s finished with them, it’s their blush that really stands out. The colour extends from the cheeks to underneath the eyes, creating a seamless, blurred effect. She recently showcased her melted flush blush technique with Kosas for the launch of their Impressionist Multistick. —Mursal Rahman

Here’s How to Get the Look According to Painted By Esther:

You can use any blush to create this look but she used the Kosas Impressionist Multistick for this look.

  1. Use a more a muted bush shade and apply it on the back of your hand. Use a powder brush to pick up the product and pat it on the highest point of the cheeks. Make sure to not go past the tail of the eyebrows.
  2. Clean up the edges of the blush application by adding concealer. Apply concealer under the corner of each eye and on the sides of the nose. Use a brush to blend
  3. Then use a loose powder to get ride of any shine. Use a powder puff to apple the product and make sure to even out the powder before applying it to underneath the eye
  4. Now use se a brighter bolder shade of blush and apply it on the back of the hand. To get a seamless blend use a powder puff to apply the blush on the highest point on the cheeks and towards the tail of the brow.
  5. To get a monochromatic look apply some of the blush to the lips.
