Just when we thought pearls couldn’t surprise us anymore, Pandora has found a way to make them playful again.
Launching July 9, Pandora Wonders is a new multi-year creative platform that reimagines some of jewellery’s most beloved materials through the lens of imagination, craftsmanship, and contemporary culture. The debut chapter focuses on freshwater baroque pearls—but not as you’ve ever seen them before.
Think mushrooms. Squid. Rockets. Frogs. Ice cream cones.
Created in collaboration with celebrated British stylist Harry Lambert and Pandora’s SVP Creative Directors Francesco Terzo and A. Filippo Ficarelli, the limited-edition collection transforms classic pearls into miniature treasures that feel equal parts nostalgic, whimsical, and fashion-forward.
At the heart of the collection are 11 collectible dangle charms, each centred around a unique freshwater baroque pearl. Because no two baroque pearls are exactly alike, every piece feels inherently one-of-a-kind. Individually selected by Pandora artisans and accented with luminous 14k gold plating, the charms celebrate the natural beauty of pearls while inviting wearers to see them through a completely new lens.
For Lambert—whose distinctive styling work has helped shape the visual identities of cultural icons including Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, and Alexander Skarsgård—the project was an opportunity to inject a sense of wonder into a category often associated with tradition.
“I’m such a fan of pearls, so I’m thrilled to bring a renewed sense of childlike delight and nostalgia to Pandora’s unique world of charms,” he says.
The timing feels right. Across fashion and jewellery, there’s a growing appetite for pieces that spark joy, tell stories, and express personality. Consumers are increasingly gravitating toward accessories that feel meaningful rather than merely decorative—and Pandora Wonders embraces that shift wholeheartedly.
While pearls have long symbolized elegance and refinement, this collection reminds us that they can also be playful, unexpected, and a little bit surreal.
It’s a refreshing evolution for one of jewellery’s oldest materials—and perhaps a reminder that style should never lose its sense of curiosity.
This summer, pearls aren’t just classic.
They’re having a little more fun. —Noa Nichol
